Vince Staples calls R Kelly a “child molester” at Coachella

After his set on the main stage at Coachella – which saw Kendrick Lamar make a guest appearance – Vince Staples sat down for an interview, during which he called R Kelly a “child molester” and a “piece of shit”.

In his typically humorous fashion, the North Long Beach rapper didn’t hold back and refused to censor himself. After the interviewer joked, “Vince, we need you here. Can you stay out of prison, please?”, Staples said, “You don’t go to prison if you’re a black entertainer, only if you’re like a black gangster rapper. Think about it, R Kelly never went to jail and he’s a fucking child molester.”

He continued, “He’s a child molester and he pees on people and he can’t read and write, and he didn’t go to jail. I’m a good person. R Kelly a piece of fucking shit. So if piece of fucking shit R Kelly didn’t go to jail for being a child molester and peeing on people and having a human trafficking ring in Atlanta, then I’ll be alright.”

“They should’ve booked R Kelly if they like R Kelly so much. He would’ve pissed on somebody in the crowd, ’cause he pees on children,” he added.

Staples released the LP Big Fish Theory last year. For his set’s finale, he performed the track Yeah Right with Kendrick Lamar.
