The former Crack cover star is heading to the UK capital, with a one-off performance scheduled for the O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire on 29 October.

Recently, the musician has been teasing snippets of new material on Instagram, stating that music will be “coming soon”. In October, the artist revealed that the follow-up to 2016’s Freetown Sound is “78% done”. Describing it as “a little dark”, the album will focus on Hynes’ childhood in England and address themes of growing up.

“If Freetown was delving into my parents from my eyes, being younger and now, this one is definitely me looking at my younger self, growing up in that setting,” he said.

Earlier this year, Porches released the Blood Orange-directed video Find Me, and Hynes guested on the Girlpool track Picturesong

Tickets go on sale this Friday (4 May) at 10am (BST). Check out his teasers below, and revisit Crack’s cover story with Blood Orange.
