Claire Boucher, otherwise known as Grimes, has announced that she’ll be changing her legal name to c – the denotation of the speed of light in a vacuum.
Upon being asked whether the change was influenced by Elon Musk, she replied, “well he’s the one who pointed out that my working nickname (c) actually rox and i don’t need to look further (been trying 2 change name 4ever but couldn’t find a gud 1, but my friends call me c }”.
Earlier this month, Page Six broke the news that Grimes was dating Elon Musk, hours before the two arrived to the Met Gala together for “date night”.
Recently, Grimes revealed the working titles for her new album. Subject to change, the tracklist includes the names that’s what the drugs r 4, So Heavy i fell through the earth and blaze forever like a useless star. The album will be the follow-up to 2015’s Art Angels.
