Crack Magazine’s latest cover star, Jorja Smith, has stepped up for the latest instalment of NPR Music’s Tiny Desk series.
Hot off the release of her debut LP Lost & Found, the breakthrough star performed the singles Teenage Fantasy and Blue Lights, along with her Preditah collaboration On My Mind.
“I felt like a small girl in this big world. I’m in this big city and it’s a lot to take in. I never really find myself on the album, and I still feel very lost in this world,” she told Crack, explaining the concept of her first full-length. “But I know that I want to sing, and write songs. I definitely know what I want to do.”
Earlier this year, Smith was announced as the BRIT Awards winner. At this year’s The BRITs are Coming, Smith performed the Stormzy collaboration Let Me Down for the first time.
