Rapper XXXTentacion, real name Jahseh Dwayne Onfroy, has died after being shot in Miami.
The 20-year-old was shopping for motorcycles when a gunman approached him and shot him in his car as he was leaving, according to TMZ.
Onfroy began recording music under the moniker aged 16, releasing his first music onto SoundCloud in 2014. In October of 2016, he was arrested on charges of aggravated battery of a pregnant woman, domestic battery by strangulation, and false imprisonment. In his short time as an artist, he gained a huge global following of fans.
His last project, ?, came out in March and topped the US Billboard chart.
News of his death was confirmed by the Broward County Sheriff via Twitter after the rapper had been rushed to hospital.
