Trust Fund announce break-up

The Bristol-based band are calling it quits.

Trust Fund, aka Ellis Jones, revealed in a Twitter statement yesterday (18 July) that it’s the right time for the indie project to come to an end. The announcement comes just weeks after they dropped their fifth studio album Bringing the Backline.

The statement reads: “For various non-dramatic reasons it’s going to be the last Trust Fund record”. Accompanying the tweet is a link to a new video for the track Abundant, directed by James Hankins. Revolving around the theme of an end of year report, the video walks through the trials and tribulations of being in a band, including getting signed, recording an album and enjoying the group’s success.

Trust Fund first made their debut in 2015 and have since gone through multiple line-up changes with frontman Ellis Jones remaining as the core member.
