Blood Orange, aka Dev Hynes, has revealed that “Album 4 is ready”.
The former Crack Magazine cover star has posted a video snippet to Instagram, announcing that the upcoming album is complete. Watch it below.
Earlier this year, Hynes released two songs honouring Black History Month, entitled Christopher & 6th and June 12th. Last October, Hynes described his follow-up to 2016’s Freetown Sound as “a little dark”, and revealed that the album will focus on his childhood in England.
“If Freetown was delving into my parents from my eyes, being younger and now, this one is definitely me looking at my younger self, growing up in that setting.”
In March, Hynes directed the video for Porches’ single Find Me. This year he also teamed up with Girlpool for the track Picturesong.
