Fans are speculating that the two may be working on a film in Cuba called Guava Island
Cuban publication Vistar has shared a selection of photos online featuring Rihanna and Donald Glover on set on the Caribbean island, working on an upcoming project. It’s believed the two are on set for a film entitled Guava Island, reportedly directed by Hiro Murai, who also directed Glover’s video This is America and worked on several episodes of Atlanta.

Details of the project are scarce, with fans believing the two artists may be joined by a cast that includes Letitia Wright and Nonso Anozie. Online speculation hasn’t ruled out the rumour that, perhaps, the two are working on a music video for Glover’s performance at Rihanna’s upcoming Diamond Ball on 13 September.

Recently, the Barbadian singer has been teasing new music via responses to fans on Instagram. When a fan said, “We want fenty MUSIC,” Rihanna replied with, “She coming sis!”. According to Metro, a source said, “Rihanna wasn’t happy with how her last album performed – even though she loved how it turned out, she knows she needs a new project full of smash hits to avoid two back-to-back flops”.
“She’s currently recording two albums – one full of chart-friendly songs, and another made up of moody and experimental tracks – and is considering releasing a double disc if she feels the songs won’t mesh well on the same album.”
