The Bristol arts venue, located in Brunswick Square, is asking for your help.
The team behind the independent space have announced that thire lease runs out in 2019, as they were unable to negotiate a longer lease with the landlord. As such, they plan on looking for a long-term home for the Brunswick Club project, and will be hosting a day and night programme on 10 November to raise funds for their plans. Currently, they’re calling for collaborators.
“We are inviting friends and collaborators to the building for a day long event of performances, workshops, live art and music to celebrate our achievements so far, thank our supporters and raise some much needed cash to continue the work we have started,” they said. “As we are trying our hardest to raise enough money to survive (and with no budget), we are asking for our collaborators to generously donate their time for this event.”
“We understand that this is a big ask, however we believe that our invitees understand our position and the value of our organisation as well as our wider community of experimental, underground practitioners and what’s more – want to be a part of something radical.”
So far, Bristol label Bokeh Versions, Noods, Thorny, Qu Junktions and others have stepped up to curate the programme.
Recently, the venue was under threat from two planning applications, but the Bristol City Council refused both.
