Mac Miller has died from an apparent overdose.
The US rapper, real name Malcolm James McCormick, passed away today (7 September). As reported by TMZ, law enforcement sources say the rapper was found dead at his home in San Fernando Valley. McCormick was discovered at around noon, and a friend called the police.
The rapper was due to go on tour next month with Thundercat and J.I.D.
Artists have paid tribute to McCormick online. Chance the Rapper tweeted: “I don’t know what to say Mac Miller took me on my second tour ever. But beyond helping me launch my career he was one of the sweetest guys I ever knew. Great man. I loved him for real. I’m completely broken. God bless him.” [sic]
