David Lynch to debut Twin Peaks VR at Festival of Disruption

Twin Peaks VR

The immersive virtual reality experience will be debuted at the upcoming edition of David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption.

David Lynch’s Festival of Disruption is set to return to LA’s Ace Hotel on 13-14 October. Last night, it was revealed that the event will debut a brand new Twin Peaks VR experience, created in collaboration by David Lynch, Collider Games and Showtime.

Twin Peaks VR will follow Agent Cooper through iconic locations from both the original and last year’s revival series, Twin Peaks: the Return. According to the press release, “Players will travel to Glastonbury Grove, only to end up in the puzzling Red Room. Fans of the series will follow in the footsteps of Special Agent Dale Cooper and try to make their way back into the life they left behind.” The project is being developed by HTC Vive and Oculus Rift and will soon be available on Steam.

Elsewhere at the festival, the line-up will feature Graces Jones speaking on Bloodlight and Bami, RZA re-scoring the classic The 36th Chamber of Shaolin, a Francis Ford Coppola Q&A following a screening of Robin Williams’ acclaimed film Jack, and the Dover Quartet performing the music of Twin Peaks.
