Earl Sweatshirt to release new album Some Rap Songs next week

After releasing the new single The Mint today (20 November), Earl Sweatshirt has announced his next album.

Entitled Some Rap Songs, the rapper’s third studio album is slated for release on 30 November via Tan Cressida and Columbia. The follow-up to 2015’s I Don’t Like Shit, I Don’t Go Outside will address the death of his father, poet Keorapetse Kgositsile. In a statement given to Pitchfork, the rapper said, “Me and my dad had a relationship that’s not uncommon for people to have with their fathers, which is a non-perfect one.”

“Talking to him is symbolic and non-symbolic, but it’s literally closure for my childhood. Not getting to have that moment left me to figure out a lot with my damn self.”

The album’s first single, Nowhere2go, landed earlier this month, and the artist’s latest drop, The Mint, features Navy Blue. Listen to The Mint via the player above, and check out the artwork for Some Rap Songs below. You can pre-order the album and new merch here.
