The final instalment of ÄTNA’s four-piece video suite, LA FAMIGLIA, lands today.
Electropop duo ÄTNA, today (17 December) release an understated video for the track Hearts. The video comes as the final component of a four-part visual project accompanying their LA FAMIGLIA EP. It’s been preceded by clips for SISTER, BROTHER and BOND, the other three songs taken from the EP.
Deceptively simple in appearance, Hearts depicts drummer Demian Kappenstein and singer/pianist Inéz at their respective instruments. The camera is trained on the pair, and slowly rotates from one musician to the other with little regard for their surroundings. Placing the focus squarely on the music, time appears to stand still as we witness an intimate, moving performance.
Sonically, Inéz’s fragile vocals are whispered over sparse drums and piano on a track where passionate sentiments are delivered over restrained instrumentation. Shot in black and white, the video’s minimal setup allows the raw emotion of the track to shine through.
