A copy of an untitled LP by the Detroit legend was recently found on Discogs.
In April last year, Moodymann teased a full-length project with the single Got Me Coming Back Right Now, featuring the Amp Fiddler-led band Amp Dog Knights. Whilst details on the project are scarce, it was originally scheduled for a June 2019 release via Mahagoni Music.
However, no release materialised – save for rare sightings on Discogs. Specifically, between November and December 2018 three sales of the elusive LP, ranging from £340 and £403 in value, were registered by the digital marketplace.
The reason why the album was never officially released has yet to be clarified, although commentary from within the Discogs community suggests that it may be down to licensing issues due to its use of samples.
