Both members of Liverpool band Her’s have been killed in a car crash. Their tour manager has also died.

Duo Stephen Fitzpatrick and Audun Laading, and tour manager Trevor Engelbrektson, died in a road accident whilst travelling to a gig in Santa Ana, California, on Wednesday evening (27 March). News of their death was confirmed by their label Heist or Hit on Thursday (28 March).

“We are all heartbroken. Their energy, vibrancy and talent came to define our label,” wrote their label in a statement. “They were in America playing to thousands of adoring fans. Fans they made a point of meeting and spending time with, such was their passion and humbleness. The world was at their feet.”

The duo were on their second tour of the US. On Tuesday (26 April), the pair captioned an Instagram post with: “It’s almost home time for the lads, US tour has gone swimmingly so far”.

The two musicians recently appeared on the BBC Music Introducing programme, and last year they performed at Crack Magazine’s Simple Things Festival. Their debut album, Invitation to Her’s, was released in August 2018.
