Ben UFO, Elena Colombi and Parris confirmed for Meakusma Festival 2019

Ben UFO

The Belgian event has revealed its first wave of acts.

After performing at the festival in 2018, former Crack Magazine cover star Ben UFO is set to make his return to the event this year, bringing John T Gast with him to head up the night programme on the Friday night. Laps and Klaus will join him on the dub sound system in the garden the next day, on the Saturday afternoon.

Reihe-M will also be returning to the event as a curator, and he’s set to present concerts by Kali Malone and Charlemagne Palestine in the Friedenskirche. Brussel-based label Les Ateliers Claus joins the event as co-curators, and they’ll be showcasing a collaboration between Roy Montgomery and Liz Harris (aka Grouper). Elsewhere, across the rest of the festival, there’s Elena Colombi, Parris, Keith Fullerton Whitman, Marja Ahti and more. Check out the full list of newly-announced acts below.

Meakusma will stage its fourth edition on 6-8 September. The three-day programme will be spread across multiple venues in Eupen, including its main hub at the Alter Schlachthof venue, the IKOB museum, Vorn und Oben, the Gülcher street and the Loten Park.

Head to the festival’s website for further information, and listen to Parris’ entry into the Crack Mix series.
