The first wave of artists has been revealed for the Kraków festival.

Holly Herndon and Sunn O))) have been confirmed for Unsound Festival, which will be taking over the city of Kraków on 6-13 October. Also announced is Sherelle – who’s set to go b2b with Fauzia – and Objekt who’ll be performing a live show with accompanying visuals from Ezra Miller.

Other newly-announced collaborations include Moor Mother and the London Contemporary Orchestra, who will be performing their project The Great Bailout – a free-verse poem critiquing colonialism, slavery and commerce in the commonwealth. There’ll also be The Necks joining forces with Kraków’s Sinfonietta Cravcovia and Ilan Volkov to “trace the margins of classical music”, and a new show from The Caretaker and visual artist Weirdcore.

The festival has also revealed its theme for 2019. ‘Solidarity’ will be communicated through the programme of music, talks, workshops and film screenings on offer. Unsound will continue working with the Ugandan label and festival Nyege Nyege to host a roster of East African artists at the event.
