The Bristol band won the award for their 2018 LP Joy as an Act of Resistance.

Idles have scooped an award at the 2019 Ivor Novellos for their latest LP. The awards took place today (23 May) at London’s Grosvenor House. Other triumphs include a double win for The 1975 (Best Contemporary Song and Songwriters of the Year) and Wiley, who went home with The Ivors Inspiration Award.

Joy as an Act of Resistance was released in August last year, and it features the singles Colossus and Danny Nedelko. The release was included in our list of 2018’s Top Albums, and the track Samaritans ranked at the top of our Top 25 Tracks list.
