Inner City Electronic to relocate to secret outdoor location for 2019

Inner City Electronic

The multi-venue festival will host its next chapter at a historic outdoor site.

Music festival and conference Inner City Electronic is set to up sticks from its former home at Church Leeds. Its next edition will be held at a secret outdoor location in the city centre of Leeds. The venue, which previously hasn’t played host to any festivals, will be able to house over 1000 festival-goers. Motor City Drum Ensemble, Nightmares On Wax, Ralph Lawson and more are set to perform at the secret site.

Festival Director Ben Thompson said, “We’re excited to have the opportunity to bring something unique to the site ahead of its redevelopment. The fact this is only ever going to happen once makes it even more special.”

Church Leeds recently announced its closure, and the festival will stage its last ever show at the venue on 1 June. The final party will be headlined by Nina Kraviz, alongside Octave One, Kelly Lee Owens, DJ Seinfeld and more. The venue’s instigator, Dave Beer, is set to play the final record.

Inner City Electronic returns for its sophomore edition on 1 June. The 24-hour programme will be spread across various venues in Leeds including the special undisclosed location. Aside from music, there’ll be talks and workshops from industry professionals.
