Berlin Atonal has unveiled its first wave of acts.
The German festival has announced a programme of specially commissioned live audiovisual shows, confirming an AV set from Objekt with Ezra Miller, Lee Gamble, Stockholm composer Kali Malone with film director Rainer Kohlberger, Nene H and more.
Atonal will also feature world premieres at its next chapter, including a first look at Alessandro Cortini’s audiovisual project Volume Massimo, Shackleton’s Tunes of Negation and Félicia Atkinson’s Music for Helen Frankenthaler. Other newly-announced acts include Liz Harris performing as Grouper, Function, and Nkisi with a premier of a new piece entitled Initiation.
The German festival runs from 28 August to 1 September. Altogether, the five-day event will bring over 100 performers and art projects to the capital city. It’ll be held within the container of the Kraftwerk in the centre of Berlin.
