Sebastian Voigt and Wilde Renate to launch new party Hi-Res

Frauengedeck Renate

The first edition of Hi-Res puts Neil Landstrumm and Cari Lekebusch front and centre.

Sebastian Voigt is producing a new event series at Berlin club Wilde Renate. After a five year hiatus from the LoKee collective in London, the techno producer is honing his booking skills with the new party Hi-Res. The events are expected to explore the darker sounds of techno, electro, breakbeat, acid house and even disco, and will consume all three floors of Renate every other month.

The first instalment of Hi-Res highlights the trippy productions of Cari Lekebusch and the bass-heavy sounds of Neil Landstrumm (live). These techno veterans head up the initial programme which also focuses on new artists. Up and comers Mala Junta Parties resident DJ Tool, and pioneer of the São Paulo warehouse rave scene, Tessuto, add to an exciting billing. Lagoeiro, Kristiina Männikö, Omnidisc regular Shokh, and Cocktail D´Amore resident Juan Ramos complete the lineup.

The first party takes place on 3 August at Wilde Renate in Berlin, with plans to continue every two months after.
