DJ Bone, Julia Holter, Parris and more will be brought in for the multi-venue festival.
Laurel Halo has curated the second edition of multi-space event MODE, set to take place across various London venues between 18 September and 6 October. This year MODE includes a performance from Julia Holter at The Round Chapel, as well as an all-night party with DJ Bone, Parris, DEBONAIR and Laurel Halo herself at a yet-undisclosed location. Plus there will be a ten-hour ambient concert with GAS, Ellen Arkbro and Beatrice Dillon. Check out a trailer for MODE 2019 in the player above.
Five events for the festival have been announced so far. Other highlights include a performance from experimental percussionist Eli Keszler and an event at the Camden Arts Centre with Joachim Koester and Yosuke Fujita. Plus French electronic music pioneer Éliane Radigue will perform OCCAM OCEAN at St Michael and All Angels Church.
The experimental sound series, described as “an annual series of artist-curated sonic and interdisciplinary events at extraordinary locations, staged in collaboration with organisations across London”, was launched by 33-33 cooperative last year. 2018’s edition featured a programme curated by composer Ryuichi Sakamoto.
More artist announcements are promised soon. Head to MODE’s website for more details, and revisit our feature with Laurel Halo here.
