The Madrid festival makes its first artist announcement.

LEV Festival is set to stage its inaugural edition this year. For its first chapter, the Matadero Madrid event will focus on “hybrid projects in the field of audiovisual composition”.  A programme of live audiovisual shows has just been announced, featuring Non Worldwide founder Nkisi, NUXXE’s sega bodega, Kelly Moran, Plaid, Emptyset, Eli Keszler with Nate Boyce and more. Aïsha Devi and Djrum have also been booked for performances, alongside Alessandro Cortini who will present Volume Massimo as an AV show.

The event’s debut edition will feature Vortex: an event that will explore “new formats of digital composition and virtual worlds”. Works that intersect cinema with arts, technology and gaming will be showcased at Vortex.

Tickets go on sale this week, from 9 August. The event will be held at Matadero Madrid from 17-20 October.

Head to the festival’s website for more information, and listen back to an exclusive specialist mix curated by sega bodega.
