The award-winning producer reunites with Benny and Josh Safdie on their latest project.

Oneohtrix Point Never (aka Daniel Lopatin) is working on the soundtrack for the Safdie Brothers’ upcoming film Uncut Gems. Starring Adam Sandler, The Weeknd, Lakeith Stanfield, Idina Menzel and the NBA’s Kevin Garnett, the film is “an electrifying crime thriller about Howard Ratner (Sandler), a charismatic New York City jeweller always on the lookout for the next big score.”

The Safdie Brothers took to Twitter to express their excitement about the project, to which Lopatin responded with a photo from the studio.

The collaboration sees Lopatin reunite with the Safdie Brothers after their collaboration on 2017’s acclaimed film Good Time, which stars Robert Pattinson as the male lead. The score earned Lopatin the Soundtrack Award at 2017’s Cannes Film Festival.

Uncut Gems will premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival next month, with a wider release on 13 December. Read our review of Lopatin’s Good Time soundtrack.
