Jesus is King was due to come out this Friday.
Kanye West has reportedly delayed the release of his forthcoming album Jesus is King which had been scheduled for a 27 September release. Although the delay hasn’t been officially confirmed, “many industry people” have been reporting the stall in proceedings.
New York Times music reporter Joe Coscarelli tweeted: “it’s Kanye so who knows but I’m hearing from many industry people that ‘Jesus Is King’ is not coming on Friday, despite people on the ground in Wyoming trying to make it happen…”
Further reports from Variety have suggested that Kanye’s team is in Wyoming to meet with Def Jam executives. Kanye West has delayed album releases in the past with last year’s Yandhi release postponed on multiple occasions until it was scrapped indefinitely.
