The Peach Discs co-founder’s debut LP arrives in November.
Shanti Celeste has announced her debut album, Tangerine. Set for release on Peach Discs, the label Celeste runs with Gramrcy, Tangerine will comprise of ten tracks and will see the producer and DJ delve into her pessonal history, exploring themes beyond the dancefloor.
“When I made music for EPs, sometimes I felt restricted,” Celeste said in a press release announcing the album. “I would think too much about creating the moments on the dancefloor I love – seeing visions of ecstatic people hugging, I didn’t give myself free reign to express all of myself. Writing an album made me feel free of all this because it seemed like an open-ended project. I could just keep creating until I felt like stopping”.
Alongside the news, the DJ and producer has shared a new track Voz (Instrumental), listen to that via Bandcamp. Celeste also created the album’s artwork, which you can view, alongside the tracklist, below.
