Heavy Is the Head will arrive on 13 December.
Stormzy has announced the follow-up to his critically acclaimed debut album. Titled Heavy Is the Head, the LP features contributions from Headie One, Tiana Major9, Yebba, H.E.R., Aitch, Ed Sheeran, Burna Boy and more. Singles Sounds of the Skeng, Crown, Wiley Flow and Vossi Bop – the track that gave Stormzy his first UK number one – all feature on the album.
The LP’s title is a line from the track Crown, and the artwork features Stormzy holding the Banksy-designed bullet-proof vest he wore during his Glastonbury headline slot this summer.
The announcement comes after fans spotted projections across London yesterday (18 November). Bearing the album’s initials, h.i.t.h, the projections appeared in Shoreditch High Street Overground Station and St Paul’s Cathedral.
Stormzy’s last full-length release was Gang Signs & Prayer. Aside from music, the artist launched the publishing imprint #Merky Books last year, and funded degree courses for two Cambridge students via the Stormzy Scholarship.
