Unknown T cleared of murdering man at London party

Unknown T has been cleared of murder.

In July, the artist – real name Daniel Lena – was charged with the murder of Steven Narvaez-Jara. The 20-year-old man was stabbed at a flat party near Old Street on New Year’s Day last year. Narvaez-Jara was pronounced dead at the scene. Two other men – named Ramani Boreland and Mohammed Musse – were charged alongside Lena.

The three defendants went on trial at the Old Bailey in January. Lena denied being an attacker and said he was “shocked and traumatised” by the violence he witnessed. Boreland was found guilty of manslaughter and violent disorder, and Musse was also convicted of the latter. The court heard that Musse began the fight by “grabbing girls, annoying people”, but that he had left by the time Narvaez-Jara was fatally stabbed.

Unknown T’s best-known hit is 2018’s Homerton B. He joined Drake on stage at the O2 in April.
