The Lyon festival, run by the Arty Farty and Culture Next teams, has moved its dates.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Nuits Sonores has moved its upcoming chapter. Originally scheduled to take place on 19-24 May, the festival will now stage its next edition on 22-26 July 2020.

The festival will be held at the sites they originally announced, with the the daytime programmes set to take place at La Sucrière and Le Sucre, and the night schedules to take over the former Fagor-Brandt factories.

“Everyone at Arty Farty and Culture Next is working in full compliance with the containment measures imposed by the authorities and healthcare staff to preserve the programming and spirit of Nuits Sonores,” the festival said via a press statement. “We stand in complete solidarity with our partners and service providers – in particular all the technical teams, the prefecture and the local authorities – as well as the volunteers and, of course, the artists who are committed to our cause.”

Artists previously confirmed for the line-up include former Crack Magazine cover stars Helena Hauff, Jeff Mills and DJ Harvey. Purchased tickets will remain valid for the new dates, and those who can no longer attend can claim a refund.
