Daft Punk will team up with the acclaimed director for his new film.

Italian director and writer Dario Argento has revealed that Daft Punk are composing the score for his next film, Occhiali Neri (Black Glasses). Argento shared the news in an interview with Italian newspaper La Repubblica, saying that the French duo are fans of his work and got in touch about composing the score when they learned he was working on a new film.

Argento is best known for directing the original Suspiria among many other films now considered cult classics in Italy and beyond. He also served as co-writer for Once Upon a Time in the West.

Occhiali Neri, which is still in pre-production, is set in Rome and will star Argento’s daughter Asia Argento. Filming is due to start in September, coronavirus permitting.
