Sónar Festival postponed until 2021

Sónar

Sónar will move to next year, with a one-off edition of Sónar+D taking place this September.

Sónar Festival has been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The festival organisers are aiming to reschedule as many of the shows and events booked for this year’s event as possible. The festival will now take place from 17-19 June 2021. Tickets for this year’s event will be valid for the festival’s 2021 edition.

In a statement, organisers said: “We thank our audience for their patience and understanding over the past weeks, and to reassure them of our absolute commitment to ticket holders. All Ticket or Delegate Pass buyers for Sónar 2020 or Sónar+D will be contacted directly via email on May 19th, with information on the benefits created for those who wish to carry their ticket over for the new dates, or, for those unable to attend, how to claim a refund.”

As well as the main festival, Sónar+D, the event’s flagship music conference will also be moved to 2021. However, a special edition of Sónar+D is set to take place 18-19 September 2020 at the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona. Dave, Headie One, The Black Madonna, Helena Hauff, Giant Swan and many more were set to perform at this year’s event.
