The short film is available for one week only.
Block9 have shared a new short film about their lauded Glastonbury Festival queer club NYC Downlow. Titled Meat Rack, the film was created by Harry Lawson and filmed at 2017’s edition of the festival, which also served as the 10th anniversary of NYC Downlow.
Billed as Lawson’s personal tribute to NYC Downlow, Meat Rack follows the club’s crew and performers as they prepare the site for the festival weekend and enjoy the anniversary celebrations. The film will be available via Block9’s YouTube channel from today (23 June) until 30 June and is accompanied by a fundraiser for the Runnymeade Trust and Doctor’s Without Borders.
This weekend, Block9 will host a charity live-stream featuring Norman Jay MBE, DJ Paulette, Heidi and Batu. Watch Meat Rack in the player above.
