Burna Boy’s new album Twice As Tall lands next Friday.

Burna Boy‘s new album Twice As Tall will be released next Friday, 14 August. The highly-anticipated follow up to 2019’s African Giant was announced earlier this year, with lead single Wonderful.

Yesterday, in an interview with The New York Times, Burna Boy revealed the album has been executive produced by Diddy. Speaking to the paper via FaceTime, Diddy said “[Burna Boy], as every artist, he wants his music to be heard by the world. He doesn’t care about crossing over. You know, he’s not trying to get hot. He’s not, like, ‘I want to be a big pop star’ — he’s already a star. He wants his music to be heard, his message, his people.”

The Times also revealed that Diddy bought in the likes of Anderson .Paak and Timbaland to work on the album, providing drums and production for tracks Alarm Clock and Wetin Dey Sup respectively.

Speaking about Twice As Tall, Burna Boy told Jon Pareles his aim for the record was to “[continue] the mission I started, which is building a bridge that leads every Black person in the world to come together, and to make you understand that without you having a home base, you can’t be as strong as you are.”

UPDATE, 10 August: Burna Boy has revealed that Twice As Tall will feature Naughty By Nature, Sauti Sol, Christ Martin and Stormzy.
