Unsound shares details of Intermission book and album, launches Patreon

Kode9, Moor Mother and Jlin have contributed new works to Unsound.

Unsound Festival has announced details of its forthcoming book and digital album. Set for release on 16 November, the Unsound book will feature contributions from the likes of DeForrest Brown Jr., Ayesha Hameed, Dave Tompkins, Kristen Gallernaux, Luke Turner, Moor Mother, Philip Sherburne and Steve Goodman aka Kode9.

The accompanying album is also set for release on 16 November and features work from 33EMYBW, Jlin, Slikback, DeForrest Brown Jr. and James Hoff, Moor Mother and Geng, VARGTSS (Varg and VTSS) and Hildur Guðnadóttir and Kári Grisey. Tim Hecker, Agata Harz and Katarynza Smoluk have also collaborated on a piece for the album.

Themed around ‘Intermission’, the new projects will accompany the online edition of Unsound 2020 which is due to take place from 1-11 October, with many contributors also taking part in the 10-day virtual event. The festival has also launched a new Patreon, with discounts, passes to upcoming editions of Unsound and more available.
