Sónar announce digital audiovisual event featuring Arca, Holly Herndon, Ryoji Ikeda and more

Sónar, for the first time in its history, will present itself as an audiovisual and digital platform. All programming will be available online via two free streaming channels as well as exclusive on-demand content. The edition will also involve a takeover of the Centre de Cultura Contemporània de Barcelona (CCCB) with live activities and limited Covid-safe attendance.

140 artists and speakers will take part in the programme of concerts, debates, DJ sets, workshops, exhibitions and exclusive video pieces produced specially for the event by a wide range of artists.

A host of live performances, DJ sets and discussions have been confirmed including a special DJ set from Arca, an exclusive Max Cooper AV show from Kings Place Studios in London, a new installation from Ryoji Ikeda and an intimate live offering from Sega Bodega.

Elsewhere, Richie Hawtin, Holly Herndon and Mat Dryhurst will talk exclusively from Factory Berlin about post-pandemic club culture.
