Aphex Twin and Novation launch AFX Station synth

This month, Aphex Twin teasers were spotted in London, LA, Berlin and Bristol.

Online, music hardware company Novation linked itself to the clues. Now, Novation has unveiled its collaboration with Richard D James: a rework of the Bass Station II monosynth called AFX Station. The new, limited edition synth contains the same features as the previous model, but includes a pre-installed AFX mode.

AFX Station comes with 128 new synth patches and seven new overlay banks from the likes of Noyze Lab, Perplex On, Richard Devine, r beny and Lightbath. There’s also a new editor in Novation Components. The gift box was designed by Aphex collaborator Weirdcore.
