Le Guess Who? has announced a new hybrid event called ON/OFF.
Earlier this year, Le Guess Who announced the postponement of its 2020 festival. Now, the team behind the event has unveiled a new alternative called ON/OFF. ON is an online TV channel, free for users to access from 13-15 November. OFF is a series of physical performances that will be staged across Utrecht.
The first part of the festival, ON, was curated by the festival and artists who’d previously performed, such as The Bug, Lucrecia Dalt, Mount Eerie’s Phil Elverum and more. The artists have selected their favourite videos and films for the TV channel. Le Guess Who? will also stream previously unseen recordings of performances by acts such as Sons of Kemet, alongside the festival’s 13-year archive.
Locals in Utrecht will be able to attend the physical performances of the OFF programme under Covid-safe measures. Performances will be hosted by festival partners Roadburn Festival, IMPAKT, Movies That Matter, Stranded FM, Catching Cultures Orchestra and CinemAsia.
