Auntie Flo launches 24-hour ambient radio station

24-hour ambient music, round the clock.

Auntie Flo has announced his new radio station, called Ambient Flo, which focuses on the link between music and wellness. An idea that emerged from lockdown, Auntie Flo – aka Brian d’Souza – began by broadcasting live streams from his garden.

“This music helped me through the most intense part of lockdown,” he said. “It was my therapy, my escape and it’s now become part of my daily routine. After the success of the weekly Ambient Flo live streams from my garden, it made sense to make it available for people to listen wherever they are and whenever they need it.”

Every track will be selected by d’Souza, except for one-off curated playlists by artists such as Shanti Celeste, Optimo, Sarathy Korwar, Free Love, KMRU and Nicola Cruz. The station will feature three randomised playlists: Morning, Daytime and Night.

Once the station reaches 500 subscribers, it’ll operate on an Artist Profit Share model. For every £3 donation, £1 will go towards the artist who produced the track, £1 to running costs and £1 to d’Souza or the curator.

Tune in to Ambient Flo.
