PLZ Make It Ruins, a London-based label run by producer Vegyn, have announced a new 40-track compilation of loops.
Locked Groove is a collaboration between PLZ Make It Ruins and Arts Council England. Each track is precisely 1.8 seconds long “and has been crafted with the intention of being looped repeatedly, creating a uniquely hypnotic rhythm.”
Contributors to the compilation include Blood Orange, Arca, Clairo, 100 gecs, Kenny Beats, Dominic Fike, Four Tet, and Vegyn himself. Artwork for the project comes from Isha Dipika and Travis Brothers.
Proceeds from the release and its accompanying merch range will be split between the ACLU and Liberty UK.
