The Bristol band have signed to Houndstooth, joining the likes of Aïsha Devi, Special Request and Lotic on the label’s roster.
Scalping return with the brand new single Deadlock, released via Fabric‘s in-house record label Houndstooth. The track comes with a new video directed by long-term collaborator and “fifth member” of the outfit, Jason Baker. The group are set to release more new music in 2021.
Fans may recognise Deadlock from Scalping’s live shows over the past 12 months or so. “It’s always a highlight,” the band said. “It’s fierce, relentless and gets a great reaction whenever we play it.”
Whilst there’s different versions of the track, the finalised and “definitive” version has been released today (17 November). Deadlock was recorded at the start of the year, prior to lockdown, and after the band had finished touring.
