Phoebe Bridgers recently released a video for her song Savior Complex.
Directed by award-winning actor, writer and producer Phoebe Waller-Bridge and starring Normal People actor Paul Mescal, the video plays out like a cinematic French new wave film.
Bridgers has long shown an appreciation for Waller-Bridge in interviews and her connection to Mescal started earlier this year on an Instagram Live. Mescal has since been spotted with Bridgers.
During quarantine, Bridgers reached out to Waller-Bridge about working on a video. The result, Paul Mescal and a new talent known only as Charlotte shot in stunning black and white.
Racking up over 11 million views on Facebook, the video is now available to watch elsewhere along with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot in the British Isles.
Bridgers is currently nominated for 4 GRAMMYs; ‘Best New Artist’, ‘Best Alternative Album’ for Punisher and ‘Best Rock Song’ and ‘Best Rock Performance’ for “Kyoto”.
