Rewire Festival has shared the second recording of its archival series.

The event is posting a series of recordings to its Bandcamp page. For its second release, Rewire has uploaded a recording of Nicolas Jaar’s and visual artist Vincent de Belleval’s show Free 2 Move, debuted in 2019. The show was centred around Jaar’s DJ set and an interactive light installation by Belleval, where the lights were linked to Jaar’s synths. During the performance, Jaar gave the audience full control of the set and stopped playing.

The recording can be downloaded on a pay-what-you-want basis. Donations will go to Jaar’s collaborators.

Free 2 Move follows up from Rewire’s first recording in the series, which is also focused on Jaar. It’s the former Crack Magazine cover star’s second performance at the festival, where an ensemble performed a piece Jaar composed for piano, saxophone, duduk, cello, electronics and percussion instruments.
