India Jordan has announced a new EP. Entitled Watch Out!, the five-track project is being released on Ninja Tune on 7 May. It marks Jordan’s debut on the influential label.
Doncaster-born Jordan describes the new EP as “a homage to both physical and conceptual movement”. The project’s creation was spurred on by restrictions to Jordan’s own movement and routine in lockdown last year. Jordan also draws inspiration from long journeys and international travel, as well as bike rides and walks around London.
Speaking on the project’s lead single And Groove, Jordan says: “And Groove was made in peak Lockdown #1 and is reminiscent of a train journey – repetitive and rhythmic movement that goes on and on (and groove!)”
It follows Jordan’s 2020 For You EP, which was released via Local Action. Its title track was one of our favourites last year and featured in our Top 25 Tracks of 2020 roundup.
