Jaar’s head-turning debut LP is getting the reissue treatment.

Nicolas Jaar’s 2011 album Space Is Only Noise is to be reissued in celebration of its 10th anniversary. Once again, French imprint Circus Company will be releasing the new record, with the reissue of Jaar’s breakthrough LP scheduled for release in May. It will be cut at 45 RPM across two clear vinyl records and presented in a full gatefold cover “for a total collector’s gem front-to-back.”

Back in January, the former Crack Magazine cover star took to Instagram to reflect on Space Is Only Noise’s release. The Chilean-American producer wrote, “My first record came out 10 years ago today. A lot of these songs were made in my childhood home in NY..”

He added, “It was thanks to the great Seth Troxler that Mathias from the label Circus Company heard the music. Thank you Seth (I doubt anything would have happened without Seth..!). Thank you Mathias for believing in the music and answering my Myspace messages! Thank you Gadi and Zev from Wolf & Lamb, who educated me in “proper dance music” and thank you for letting me live at the Marcy (a kind of diy dance club) for that summer where I slept on a funny air mattress that deflated every night (this is the story behind the talking on ‘keep me there’).”

“For those who have stuck around since the first record, thank you for being with the music, thank you for letting me do this for a living.”
