Ellis will be delivering a free-to-attend online lecture as part of Supporters Week.
It’s been a year since we launched Supporters: a membership package that’s helped us to continue throughout the pandemic. For 2021, we’re introducing Supporters Week – seven days of screenings and talks, curated exclusively for Supporters. A free 30-day pass is available now.
As part of our Supporters Week programme, we’re thrilled to be welcoming Warren Ellis into the fold for a very special lecture, where he’ll be talking about five essential classical composers. The lecture will take place on 26 March at 5pm (GMT)
The Australian multi-instrumentalist, composer and serial collaborator is perhaps best known for his work with The Bad Seeds and Grinderman. But parallel to his illustrious career in rock, Ellis has cultivated a reputation as an award-winning composer for film, both in partnership with long-term creative partner Nick Cave (Wind River, The Road) and solo (Mustang, Django). In a year that will see Ellis release albums with Cave and Marianne Faithfull, this special lecture will offer an opportunity to receive a classical music education sure to be unlike any other.
