It follows an inaugural release from Bienoise.

Italy’s C2C Festival (formerly known as Club to Club) launched a new label back in November. Now, the imprint is preparing to release a four-track EP from XIII, aka Italian composer and Gang of Ducks co-founder Alessio Capovilla.

Titled Invrs Solaria, the EP is scheduled for release on 5 March, which is Bandcamp Friday. It’s being shared as part of C2C and Stone Island’s collaborative project Stone Island Sound.

The project features tracks A Wall With Hole, Breathe and Marante, plus an additional bonus offering dubbed Dot – Live Extract (20.02.2020). This was performed as part of an audiovisual installation by the artist Ken-Tonio Yamamoto commissioned by Stone Island, which premiered last February in Milan. It C2C Festival’s last event with an audience before the pandemic.

Stone Island Sound was launched last year as “a new project supporting contemporary music productions.” C2C’s team previously told us via email: “Cultural independence, avant-garde and new pop, irregular sounds and original music productions are the stylistic references that inspire and guide this project, which regards the current music scene as a multi-coloured and chaotic combination of genres.”

You can pre-order the EP here.
