Little Simz shares self-directed video for new single Woman

The second single to be lifted from her forthcoming album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert.

Little Simz has released a new single entitled Woman. The track features vocalist Cleo Sol, with production from Inflo. It was released last night (6 May) alongside a glamorous, self-directed music video starring models like Jourdan Dunn and Kesewa Aboah alongside the likes of Zeze Millz, Denai Moore and Simz’s cousins Paij and Caroline.

“The casting was not incidental,” reads a statement for the new song. “Every women in the video has personal significance to Simz.” The Woman music video marks Simz’s directorial debut. Watch it in the player above.

Speaking on the soulful new track in a statement, Simz said: “I love it when I see women doing their thing and looking flawless; I’m here for that; It’s empowering, it’s inspiring; I wanted to say thank you and I wanted to celebrate them.”

Woman is the second song to be taken from Simz’s next album Sometimes I Might Be Introvert, which was announced last month alongside the release of the project’s powerful lead single Introvert. Plus, the much-discussed Introvert music video.

Sometimes I Might Be Introvert is scheduled for release on 3 September via Simz’s own imprint Age 101. Pre-order here. We caught up with London-based choreographer Kloe Dean to discuss her role in the Introvert music video. Read the Q&A.
