“We are devastated that yet again we can’t all be together in Tisno.”

Love International has been postponed for a second year due to rules surrounding travel to so-called ‘amber list’ countries. The festival’s fifth edition was scheduled to take place this July, however it has now been pushed back to 13 to 19 July 2022.

Last week, the UK government unveiled a traffic light system approach to international travel. Passengers visiting or travelling through countries that fall into the ‘amber list’ – such as Croatia – will be required to fill in a passenger locator form, provide proof of a negative Covid-19 test prior to travelling, quarantine at home for 10 days, with two additional Covid-19 tests to be taken during the quarantine period.

In a new statement, Love International organisers write: “It is with a heavy heart that we are unfortunately at the point where we need to postpone this year’s Love International event until Summer 2022.”

“We have been holding on like everyone for some positive news and clarity on international travel and with last week’s inclusion of Croatia on the amber list feel that we have arrived at the point where we need to make this very difficult call. The current need for both quarantining and PCR testing added to that uncertainty at this time make us feel this is the right decision for all involved.”

“We are devastated that yet again we can’t all be together in Tisno. It has become a community and extended family, with so many dancers and DJs returning year after year, so many communal experiences and amazing memories, we are all gutted that we will not be making new ones this year.”

Organisers have stated that all ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for entry next summer. Refunds are also possible. Find out more about the refund process here.

The team add that while the festival is postponed, The Garden Resort remains open “with bars and restaurants in operation with music and entertainment provided in the evenings, with no charge for entry.” [sic]

“So if you are able to travel under Amber conditions, being fully aware of the obligations to test and isolate when you return, then please contact them directly for more info.” [sic]
