Manchester International Festival (MIF) has announced the acts for its Homecoming Live night, which will showcase music from Africa and the diaspora. Hessle Audio’s Anz joins the line-up, along with Afrobeats star Midas the Jagaban and Rema. This year will mark the beginning of MIF’s three-year collaboration with Homecoming, a Nigerian youth culture festival. Homecoming Live will be broadcast online via MIF’s site.
Furthermore, Damon Albarn has been confirmed for the programme. His performance will be accompanied by a band and string quartet.
Previously announced acts include The National’s Aaron and Bryce Dessner with Jon Hopkins, the Patti Smith Quartet and Arlo Parks.
