Solange’s Saint Heron expands into a multidisciplinary platform

Governors Ball

Solange is broadening her platform Saint Heron.

Originally designed as a musical and cultural hub, Saint Heron is now a multidisciplinary platform “that seeks to amplify vital voices”. The platform will cover a broad range of services, from art and creative direction to architecture, spatial design, production design and set and scenic design. It’ll also offer advice on curatorial strategy, video production and content development.

One of the newly-launched parts of the platform is its Holism Project, an initiative “built to bring holistic healing and wellness to Black women, girls and communities of colour”. The website reads: “We focus on supporting woman on the frontlines fighting for justice around the world as well as families dealing with the mental and emotional strain due to police violence.” The Saint Heron Holism Project will provide trauma therapy, mentorship, safe housing and community emotional support.

Solange is also relaunching the Small Matter Studio and Gallery, expanding it into a broader space for contemporary art and design. This will focus on “large and small scale functional sculpture, architectural forms, lighting design and more”.

Furthermore, Saint Heron will host virtual exhibitions from artists and designers, and publish literary works, through the Dossier. The Digital Dossier can be viewed online now via Saint Heron’s website.
